釋迦牟尼佛居中,以金剛坐姿端坐蓮座上,右手作觸地印,左手平托鉢盂,左右兩旁為大弟子舍利弗及目犍連尊者,分別站立於佛陀蓮座兩側。佛陀身處於山頂終年積雪的山脈中,四周有他的得道弟子十六羅漢:因竭陀尊者、阿氐多尊者、伐那婆斯尊者、迦里迦尊者、伐闍羅佛多尊者、跋陀羅尊者、迦羅加伐蹉尊者、迦諾迦跋黎墮闍尊者、巴古拉尊者、羅侯羅尊者、注荼半托迦尊者、賓度羅跋羅墮闍尊者、半托迦尊者、那迦希尊者、戍博迦尊者和阿秘特尊者。布袋和尚和達摩多羅尊者坐於蓮座前方。唐卡下界見守護四大部洲的護世四天王:從左起是南方增長天王,跟著是東方持國天王,西方廣目天王和北方多聞天王。
Śākyamuni is seated in vajrāsana on a lotus throne with his right hand in the bhumisparśamudrā and his left holding an alms bowl. Next to his throne standing are his two main disciples, Śariputra and Maudgalyayana. Around the Buddha situated across the landscape whose upper border is framed by snowy peaks, the Sixteen Arhats (Tib. gnas brtan bcu drug) are depicted: Aṅgirāja (Tib. Yan lag ’byung), Ajita (Tib. Ma pham pa), Vanavāsin (Tib. Nags na gnas pa), Mahākālika (Tib. Dus ldan chen po), Vajrīputra (Tib. Rdo rje mo’i bu), Śrībhadra (Tib. Dpal bzang po), Kanakavatsa (Tib. Gser gyi Be’u), Kanaka or Kanakabharadvāja (Tib. Gser can), Bakula (Tib. Ba ku la), Rāhula (Tib. Sgra gcan ’dzin), Cūḍapanthaka or Kṣūḍapanthaka (Tib. Lam phran bstan), Piṇḍola Bharadvāja (Tib. Bha ra dhwa dza bsod snyoms len), Panthaka (Tib. Lam chen bstan), Nāgasena (Tib. Klu sde), Gopaka (Tib. Sbed byed pa), Abhedya or Abheda (Tib. Mi phyed pa). Their host, Hva shang, and the traveler Dharmatāla are both seated in front of Śākyamuni's throne. In the bottom register the guardians of the four heavenly directions Virūḍhaka, Dhṛtarāṣṭṛa, Virūpakṣa and Vaiśravaṇa are shown from left to right.
