Buddha Amitāyus

青海(安多) 二十世紀中葉

無量壽佛,佛身紅色,具足報身佛之莊嚴,結金剛跏趺坐於蓮花座上,雙手以禪定印托長壽寶瓶,瓶中充滿長壽甘露生出無憂樹。唐卡之左右上角均有祥雲,阿彌陀佛在左邊,釋迦牟尼佛在右邊。右下角見白度母,三面八臂之尊勝佛母在左下角,她們加上無量壽佛,合稱「長壽三尊」。
The red-coloured Buddha Amitāyus is adorned with sambhogakāya ornaments and seated in vajrāsana on a lotus throne. His hands in meditation gesture hold the vase containing long-life elixir (amṛta) on his lap. From the vase sprouts the aśoka tree. In the upper corners, Buddha Amitābha appears in clouds on the left and Buddha Śākyamuni to the right. At bottom level the White Tārā is depicted in the right, and the three-faced, eight-armed Uṣnīṣavijaya in the left corner with whom Amitāyus forms the important ‘Long Life Trinity’.
